Every guest room was renovated in 2024. The building is from 1909, so no two rooms are quite identical, and that is part of the character. What follows is the honest version of what each room is, so nothing about your stay is a surprise. Half of our rooms have a private bathroom. Half share bathrooms down the hall.

EUROPEAN-STYLE with SHARED BATHROOM
13 rooms. Men's and women's bathrooms down the hall on your floor, with an in-room vanity sink. Lower budget-friendly rates.
Premium Rooms with a Private Bathroom

Our most-booked room. Renovated in 2024. Comfortable for two adults or a parent and a child.
Best for: campus visits, admitted-student weekends, one or two nights around a Husky game.
PREMIUM DOUBLE QUEEN

Each of these rooms has a bay window with a built-in window bench, original to the building. Only three exist, and they are the first rooms to sell out for move-in weekend and for graduation. Best for: groups of three or four who want a private bathroom.
European-Style Rooms with a Shared Bathroom
These rooms have an in-room vanity sink and share separate men's and women's bathrooms on the same floor. They are some of our best value guest rooms in the hotel.

Our classic budget room. A queen bed, an in-room vanity sink, a laptop-friendly desk, and shared bathrooms on your floor. The best rate in the building for two people. Best for: budget-conscious travellers, and longer stays.

Our smallest and most affordable room. Compact and simple, with an in-room vanity sink and shared bathrooms on your floor. Best for: solo travellers and extended stays where the rate matters most.
EUROPEAN-STYLE DOUBLE QUEEN

Two queen beds, an in-room vanity sink, a bay window with a built-in window seat, and shared bathrooms down the hall. There is just one of these rooms. It goes early for graduation and move-in weekend. Best for: a group of three to four who are on a budget.
EUROPEAN-STYLE QUEEN & TWIN

An in-room vanity sink, a window seat under the bay windows, and shared bathrooms down the hall. Best for: a parent and two children, or two to three adults travelling together.
SHARED BATHROOMS IN EUROPEAN-STYLE ROOMS
Each floor has one men's and one women's bathroom. Every shared bathroom has two showers, two toilets and a sink, and is cleaned throughout the day. Every European-Style room also has its own vanity sink, so brushing teeth and washing up happen in your room. Robes and hair dryers are provided in your room.
Good to Know Before You Book
​STAIRS, NOT AN ELEVATOR
The College Inn occupies the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of a 1909 building, and there is no elevator. Guest rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors and are reached by two or three flights of stairs. We are always glad to help with luggage, and if stairs are a concern, call us before you book and we will place you on our lowest guest floor whenever we can. Guests visiting UW Medical Center or Seattle Children's should mention it when booking.

NO AIR CONDITIONING
Seattle averages about a week of genuinely hot days a year. The rest of the summer, this building's thick walls keep rooms comfortable on their own. There is no central air conditioning, and every room has both a ceiling fan and a portable fan. If you are visiting during a heat wave, we would rather you know now than find out at bedtime.
